Serving the Men and Women of Camp LeJeune
As a United States military member, you understand dedication, determination, and sacrifice. We also know how an unexpected pregnancy can impact your life and military career.
The staff at Hope First is also dedicated. We’re here to serve you during this overwhelming time in your life. If you just found out you or your partner is pregnant and you are in the military, you might be worried about how it could disadvantage you regarding your future aspirations for promotion.
It can be easy to fear the future without strong job security, and we understand those fears. Many of our staff have military experience and can show you how to navigate your current situation.
All of Our Services Are Free and Confidential
If you’re facing an unexpected pregnancy, you are already under enough stress. We don’t want to add to it with a financial burden or privacy concern. We promise to keep our conversations and your test results in the strictest confidence.
The following services are available to you at no cost:
- Pregnancy Testing. Our tests are medical-grade quality with a 99% accuracy rate. Our medical staff will instruct you or your partner and review your results. You can have confidence that you are getting accurate information.
- Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound. If the pregnancy test administered by our nurse is positive, you may be eligible for an ultrasound, depending on your situation. For more information regarding qualifying for an ultrasound or to receive a referral, please call (910) 938 7000.
- Pregnancy Options. You have three options for the pregnancy: have an abortion, make an adoption plan, or choose to parent or co-parent.
We do not perform or refer for abortion, but we’ll give you factual, medically accurate information about procedures, side effects, and potential risks.
We are not a licensed child-placing agency, but we can offer referrals to reputable adoption coordinators.
There are also many resources available if you choose to parent or co-parent. - STI Testing and Treatment Referral. If you are sexually active, you should be tested for a sexually transmitted infection. Although you may not have symptoms at the moment, if left untreated, STIs can become a dangerous health risk. The good news is that many are easy to treat in their early stages.
